This policy explains what information Mendrya (mendrya.com) collects, how it’s used, and the choices available to you. We’ve written it to reflect what the site actually does, not a generic template.
Information Collected Automatically
Like most websites, Mendrya’s hosting server automatically logs standard technical information when you visit — such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested, and the time of the request. This is standard server log data used for security and site operation, not for building an individual profile of visitors.
Mendrya does not currently run visitor analytics software (such as Google Analytics). If that changes, this policy will be updated to name the service and explain what it collects.
Cookies
WordPress, the software Mendrya runs on, may set a small number of technical cookies needed for the site to function correctly. Comments are disabled sitewide, so comment-related cookies do not apply. Our contact form (see below) may set a short-lived security cookie needed to process a submission safely.
Contact Form
Mendrya uses Contact Form 7, a WordPress contact form plugin, to handle messages sent through our Contact page. When you submit that form, the information you provide (such as your name, email address, and message) is sent by email to Mendrya’s editorial inbox. It is not added to a marketing list, sold, or shared with third parties, and is used only to respond to your message.
Advertising
Mendrya does not currently display advertising of any kind, including Google AdSense. If advertising is introduced in the future, this policy will be updated first to disclose what’s used, what data it may collect (for example, through cookies), and what choices you have, including how to manage ad personalization where applicable.
Third-Party Services
Mendrya’s website runs on WordPress with the following active plugins as of this policy’s last update: Yoast SEO (which manages technical SEO metadata and does not collect visitor personal data) and Contact Form 7 (described above). We’ll update this list if that changes.
Embedded Content
If an article ever embeds content from another website (for example, a video), that content may collect data about your interaction with it in the same way as if you visited that website directly. Mendrya does not currently embed third-party content of this kind, but this section is here in case that changes.
Security
We take reasonable, standard measures to keep the site and any information submitted to it secure, but no method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, and we can’t guarantee absolute security.
Data Retention
Contact form submissions are retained as email in Mendrya’s inbox for as long as reasonably needed to address the message, and are not intentionally kept beyond that for any other purpose.
Your Rights
You can ask what information we hold about you (typically limited to a contact form submission, if you’ve sent one) or ask us to delete it, by reaching out through the Contact page. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law; we’ll do our best to honor reasonable requests regardless of location.
Children’s Privacy
Mendrya is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the site changes — for example, if we add analytics, advertising, or new third-party tools. The “last updated” date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision.
